SUNDAY REFLECTION : Everything possible for those who believe ( 22 September, 2019)

Though Jesus had given power to the 12 apostles to cast out demons, nine of them failed in casting out demon from a boy while Jesus was transfigured on a high mountain in the presence of the apostles Peter, James, and John. When Jesus, along with the three came down, he healed the boy. When the nine asked Jesus why they could not do it, he explained that in such severe cases special preparation like prayer and fasting are needed. Faith is also demanded from the disciple and the recipient of the miracle. Let us ask God to increase our faith and help to supplement it from our part with prayer and fasting as Jesus taught us through his disciples.

SUNDAY REFLECTION : Repent, the Kingdom of God is at hand (September 15, 2019)

Jesus, the light of the world, came down from heaven to brighten the world that was in spiritual darkness. The Jewish leaders, the people of Nazareth, and King Herod were in darkness and were trying to blow out this light. So, Jesus moved to Capernaum, a place of Jews, gentiles and foreigners. He preached to them that the kingdom of heaven was at hand and that it could be attained by repentance. So, the message of today’s gospel is to turn away from the imperfect way of life and to move towards practicing the gospel.

Bishop's Appeal - 2018

Glory to God in the Highest! As we enter the new year 2019, let us glorify God by our love and good deeds. The world may fade, the stars may fall, the seasons may change, but the God who has been our help in ages past is our hope for years to come. In Him we have permanence, stability, joy unshakable, and life unending. Let the Lord be with you all.
